Why I Hand-Pick Every Crystal I Sell

Let’s be honest. The crystal world is a little wild these days. You can hop onto TikTok or Etsy and buy a kilo of tumble stones from someone who’s never even seen the mine they came from, and you can scroll through endless sellers all offering the exact same factory-polished towers, straight out of wholesale warehouses.

That’s never been my vibe.

I’ve been sourcing crystals since 2017, before it got so cool (and before everyone and their dog set up a crystal shop). From the beginning, I knew I wanted my shop to feel different. I didn’t want to just resell whatever bulk stock was being pushed at me. I wanted to build a collection that actually meant something - pieces chosen with intention, beauty, and care.

What “Hand-Picked” Means to Me

When I say I hand-pick every crystal, I mean it literally. I don’t order bulk boxes and hope for the best. I visit my suppliers, lay everything out on tables, and look through every piece with my own hands and eyes.

I choose the crystals that catch the light just right, the ones with unique formations, rainbows, inclusions, or that undeniable energy that makes them special. Sometimes I’ll spend hours going through trays of crystals to find a handful of pieces worth bringing home.

It’s not fast. It’s not “efficient.” But it means that every crystal you see in my shop or during a live sale has been chosen because it stood out to me.

Why I Source the Way I Do

I prefer working with suppliers who have personal connections to the mines they buy from. Many of them have spent decades building relationships in Brazil, Madagascar, Morocco, the USA, and beyond. Some even give back to their local communities, supporting schools and families in mining areas.

Is the term “ethically sourced” overused? Absolutely. But for me, it’s not about slapping a buzzword on a product. It’s about asking real questions, having conversations, and knowing the story behind what I’m bringing into my shop.

The Difference You Can Feel

There’s something very different about owning a crystal that was chosen with care. My customers often tell me they can feel the difference in the pieces they get from me, that the quality is higher, the energy feels “cleaner,” and that the crystals just have more personality than what they see elsewhere.

That’s the whole point. I don’t want to sell you just another quartz tower. I want you to have the quartz tower, the one that made me stop, smile, and say, “yes, this one.”

You’re investing in a crystal that was seen, appreciated, and selected, not tossed into a bulk box to be sold for the cheapest possible price.
